A lovely short cut on the Braco Road (off the A822) means you can cut 7 miles off the journey and go directly through Comrie through relative wilderness.

From Glasgow you could take an alternative route through Callander on the A84 and then take the A85 towards Crieff and Perth. Both routes offer fantastic views on relatively quiet roads.
